I don't mean to be rude but look up this source. He's a complete idiot with zero credibility and accusations on all matters yet no facts. Please, have some sense. I hate psu more than anyone but we can't be dumb.

Madden dropped this stuff way before anyone else. He might be a douche but the man does have sources (at times).

I think his track record is as good as any of the local media. That probably goes a long way because even some of my favorites don't have a good track record.

I do know that Mark had some good connections when DW's staff was here. Not sure now though as it pertains to PITT.

This isn't the first or only report of a pimping out young boys connection at PSU. Give it time. Remember a song your parents and older relatives listened to. "We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters.

As part of a personal admission: As a freshman at Pitt, I heard that familiar "slapping sound" in the Towers. What was crazy is that I came to realize it happened at the same time every month. I could have gone to the authorities but I failed to. I was greatly relieved when I learned that was when the new Playboys monthly magazine came out.

Back to PSU: There's an old principle in medicine called," Occam's razor". If one diagnosis can tie together seemingly disparate data, that's the correct one. You still have the sealing of JoPa's will(in the face of gads of other material about the Paterno's wealth made public). You have Sandusky's 2nd. Mile involvement being allowed to carry on after his perversion was common knowledge. Why didn't major schools run after the guy who was arguably the best assistant in college football? Yeah, I know Marshall and Temple wanted him, and Steel says U.Va., as well. Well gentlemen, please recall that Rock Hudson was married and George Clooney regularly is escorted by beautiful women.

Someone from PSU sent a message to my inbox that he heard the same rumor for a few months now.

What Pappy was referring to is the fact that everything is revolving around the football team still. Read the quotes and watch the news .. whatcha think? Has the culture changed?

But here's the thing .. to all my fellow Pitt brethren and those who are worried PSU might escape this unscathed ..

Their new name in Happy Valley is MUD .. they are the villains now .. and not like Lebron James and the Heat .. not like Jim Tressel or even THE U. They'll be the most hated school in college sports well after we've all become worm food.

Maybe they keep 95% of their roster together. Maybe they even go to a bowl game in 2018.

What really matters seems to have been forgotten ..
* Bill O Brian .. can he actually coach??? What if he's terrible? Chances are he IS terrible. It was a hire out of desperation .. remember?
* Was PSU's roster all that great to begin with? If they lose a few high-end guys like Redd then where does that leave them?
* The distractions during the season and the role of the villain will weigh heavily on these poor kids who stick around. Can they still perform even admirably well .. let alone win games in the Big Ten?
* And what will the Big Ten do to them .. penalties off the field .. and on the field. College officiating has always been corrupt and who's going to feel bad for PSU if they get cheated?
* Recruiting in the short and long runs will most certainly suffer. It's not even a question of IF .. but how much? And they couldn't even sniff a national title run while they had this whole scandal covered up for the past 15 years .. now what can they possibly accomplish going forward?
* An entire generation of young fans are growing up in the midst of all of this.

There's no reason to beat this thing to death. I feel bad for the clowns who care about sports so much they are pissed about PSU not being punished enough .. and i feel bad for the PSU clowns who have nothing else that gives them joy besides football. It's so damn pathetic and sad .. all of this .. everyone focusing on the negative.

I hope PSU finds salvation. And i'm happy as hell with where Pitt is headed.

No, I don't think it's the end of the story. I think there's more to it, but I'd be surprised if any larger issues have something to do with football.
I also don't think any more will come out, but I hope it does. This whole situation is truly horrible and everything needs to come out.
There have already been months of the best investigative journalists and the former director of the FBI looking under every rock. I don't see how something this explosive could be hidden this long. Then again, I'd have said the same thing about sandusky a year ago.

My nitter coworker claims that the DA was investigating a mobster at the same time, and that's why he's missing...they rubbed him out. Not sure if this is true and I'm too lazy to dig it up on the interwebs.
