Revis, Fitzgerald, and McCoy

  • 3 of the top players in the entire NFL all came from Pitt. I sure hope our coaches are hammering home this point.

Ironically, I did not see any Nitters or Hoopies in the same echelon as our Panthers. If you want to be a big-time NFL star, then Pitt does it better. NFL Hall of Fame numbers support this point as well.

Cameron Wake and Jared Odrick are pretty darn good.

Pitt has better offensive players in the league for sure, but PSU has quite a few defensive players starting in the NFL.

Navorro Bowman and Sean Lee aren't any good either. And don't get me started on Tamba Hali, Dan Connor, and Paul Posluszny! What scrubs! PSU can't put any good players into the NFL!!

Hey, the NFL players out of Pitt are awesome. Dead serious. McCoy's my favorite, but the other two are arguable the best at their positions in the league. The OP just made a stupid remark about how PSU doesn't put good players into the NFL.

And to answer your question, we're on the Sandusky247 board. I thought that was obvious.

  • PSU puts out a lot of NFL players but off the top of my head I can't remember any 'star' PSU players lately. They have had some monumental NFL busts though.

    Someone who actually gets it.

There were some very mediocre teams during the Revis era.

    +1

It's nice to have these guys represent PITT, but I would rather see us beat Clemson by 50 in the Orange Bowl.

How about Pitt wins, BCS/playoff games and Pitt players named All-Pro in the NFL?

Jabal Sheard, Jason Pinkston and Jeff Otah. And then there's John Capelletti, Kijana Carter, Blair Thomas and Jerry Sandusky

    New Nike ad...

I think it would look great for recruits coming in if a big banner of that new nike add hung in the main lobby of the Pitt side in the facility featuring the 3 great nfl players all from Pitt,
    this may never happen again.
Especially since Pitt is a NIke school now, (aren't they?)
or maybe that is against ncaa or nfl regulations, I don't know I'm just guessing,
    but you know what,
if Pitt sold tee-shirts, posters, etc with that add on it,. I bet they would sell a ton of them.
I think I would put about a 50 foot high picture of it outside heinz field for pitt games if it was me.

Reading Comprehension - The players in the NFL voted for the TOP PLAYERS. Revis and Fitzgerald were Top 10, and Shady was right behind them on the list.

There is no arguing the point I made.

I'd rather Pitt win 7 games and put up Pro Bowl players, than Pitt win 9 games and put up 0 Pro Bowl players. Both seasons get you NOTHING, but at least Pitt can be proud of preparing kids for the next level.

    All great college players.

Carter is a bit unfair though. Possibly the most talented RB ever at PSU, who blows his knee on his first professional carry. That's not his fault.

I actually agree with this TexasLion...

It was a shame for the young man to blow out his knee......

Then add Hugh Green to the list. His injuries ended his journey to the HOF.
