To my PItt Bretheren, where have we heard that before.....ie. only installed 10% of the offense.........Hint.......dream jobber.........
I dont think Bob is quite as bad as the Fraud but I do think the cat doesnt understand the college game and is going to make the fatal mistake of trying to install an offense that is way too complicated for the College gane and will have to dumb it down to the point where its vanilla................think Pitt 2011

Wanny was in college for a while and then went to the pros where football was a full time job, and when he came back to college it took him a while to get acclimated to the game. I wonder if the PSU players will have enough time to learn all his plays??
Interesting comment in the Trib today though...it said that the 3 QB's are "sticking around during the summer to continue to learn the offense and compete against one another." - are they allowed to do that? Heck, why isn't Voytik coming in during the summer and learning the entire Pitt offense too then?? I thought they had limits on how much time they can practice.

We weren't his first choice, he wanted an NFL job more than anything. Once Jacksonville dropped him, he took our position because we were the only other HC opportunity he had at the time. He also wasn't our first choice as a HC, and was more of a contingency plan for if other candidates fell through. Joyner put is in a really bad spot because he was too stubborn in contract negotiations, so we hired O'Brien because he burned bridges with every other candidate we had higher. Because of this, I don't think he will have a long leash in terms of failure.
If he is successful, I think he will leave for the first NFL job that comes and offers. If he isn't successful, he'll be here to ride out the storm from the scandal and the administration will fire him and go back to try to hire a better coach. If he is average I still think he doesn't come back, because we will move on to other coaches.
I don't know how successful he will be, honestly, but the opportunity is certainly there. Our division is the weaker of the two in the B1G, and Wisconsin is going back down now that they lost Chryst and their great QB. We'll just have to see how quickly the OLine improves and whether or not Roof can keep up the defensive success that Bradley established.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

He was a college coach for 13 years before he went to New England. I am worried about the offense being too complicated as well, but he does understand the college game and the time constraints that come with it.
I think that O'Brien is going to have to lean more on the run game than he wants. We will see how long it takes for him to make adjustments.

Sunseri really doesn't throw many INTs for the number of passes he attempts each season, 2.8% (2011) and 2.6% (2010) are very good ratios.
Compare that with Tyler Palko's 2.3%, Bill Stull's 2.6% and Dan Marino's 5.73% (which is terrible BTW). Sunseri has a lot of problems, INTs aren't at the top of the list.
I just put that up there because I know you are a big Sunseri fan.

There is that, he doesn't thread the needle much, does he?
I think Sunseri did pretty well in rolling out and passing in 2010, if you exclude the Utah game. That tanked in 2011 though.
Maybe if we have Sunseri stand on Myers' shoulders he'd have a better sight line.

QB situation - Pitt vs. PSU
