the coaches moved some people around today...
the starting linebackers today were gordon in the middle, eric williams moved to strong side, and nick grisby move to the other outside position.huxstable said grisby loaded with talent, but doesn't put in the time to learn his position.
hale still 1st team at end over clemmings. i really dont think clemmings has it. i see him alot like dante taylor, as i have said before. nice guy, has some physical tools, but just seems to lack that fire that you need.
the offense looked good today, and its been much improved the last so many practices. but...at the end when they practiced red zone, then they gave up 4 sacks in 3 series, so they still have alot of work to do because they will be pressured like that all year until they can prove that they can stop/beat it.
Thanks Brian. Didn't like to hear about the sacks.
Hopefully Grigsby wakes up and starts studying his playbook. Nice to read about his speed because this defense needs as much as possible. He's a young player who's learning what it takes to play at the I-A level.
Part of me is happy to see Hale stepping up, but I was expecting Clemmings to grab hold of the job and never relinquish it.
Grigsby will be passed over if he doesn't get his shit together. IMO, this staff won't coddle him and will just recruit over him and let him pass his time on special teams.
I'm happy for Hale, but dissapointed for Clemmings. Is it more Clemmings blowing it or Hale really shining?
The red zone is PC's baby IMO.
Last year, Wisky stored on 95% (71/75) of their red zone opportunities while 85% (64/75) were TD's. I really look for Pitt to improve in their TD's in the red zone next year. Last year, Pitt only got a TD 63% of the time (29/46). How good would our record have been with 10 more touchdowns (85% of 46)???
