Pitt after Jeter again?

  • According to Mike White Dixon will be meeting with Jeter friday. He "tweeted" that it was too late for Pitt last week, but 1, does anybody think Dixon offers 2. does Jeter regret saying "too late" and jump on the Pitt ship if offered.

Trey Zeigler is also visiting Pitt this weekend.

  • Who has more upside at a need position?

  • 17 or 18 year olds say a lot of things that sound good to them when they say them (heck, even "older" people do the same), but may not be what is "real" a week later. I would think if Pitt offers he jumps on it. Burgh, as far as who would fill a need better, I guess you can have points for either, I like Jeter just because it appears he can be a big body that has skills, never hurts to have too many, and is an actual local good b-ball player, we haven't seen that often in the past.

Sam Clancy, Shawn Miller, Demetrious Gore and DeJuan Blair are about it that I can think of. We missed on Danny Fortson. I'm not a big hoops fan, so you can probably fill in the gaps.

    Where was Gore from?

  • Not so sure about Gore Ghost. I don't think he was all that local. Just saying.

I thought he was from Cleveland.

    Yes, Gore was from Detroit.

Add Darrell Porter to the gets.

To the losses add Archie Miller, Dante Calabria, Herb Pope, the other kid from Schenley who played at St Johns, and there was another kid who played at Shadyside who went to Stanford in the 90s (can't remember the name). Did Pitt offer Drew Schifino from Penn Hills?

  • DJ Kennedy is the Schenley kid that went to St. Johns

Deandre Kane is lighting it up for Marshall...I think he's a Schenley kid isn't he?

What about the now-former Duquesne player McConnell? Looking to go to some BCS schools like Arizona and Virginia. Could we say we missed on him?

How is that 7 footer from Akron doing - Zeke Marshall? Turned down Pitt to go to Akron. Is he any good or is he a stiff?
