OMG, look at the cult members latest project

See, this exactly why I can't stand Pitt fans, and I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. You guys don't give a shit about the victims. The only thing you wanna talk about is Joe Paterno. Should Joe have stopped yes of course, should he have done alot more definitely. Does he deserve most of the blame like you fans are doing? NO! Correct me if I am wrong but there are five other guys involved in this. Joe deserves some of the blame but so do the others. Joe was no saint and I will never say he was, call it a cult all you guys want. You's are just to immature, its pretty sad when a 17yr old kid, and Psu commit. Tells some lowlife fan, probably a Pitt or O$U fan. To stop with the Pedophile State comments cause it is gay. That young man has alot more class than any of you.

Why does Pitt even have a board for this site? What hell has Pitt done in football in the last 30yrs. More importantly why does this board need a Sandusky thread? Psu I can understand but Pitt? I get confused if this a Pitt board or Psu board.

Okay since this is a football discussion board, lets discuss football. When was the last time Pitt was relevant in football? 1981 is the farthest I go back to. In that time how many national championships has Pitt won. How many undefeated seasons? It the past 30 seasons where Pitt has been pretty pitiful, PSU has two national titles and two undefeated seasons. Throw in a couple of eleven win seasons and countless bowl victories. When was the last time Pitt even won a bowl game? I'm surprised they still have fans.

Edit: but you guys beat us the last time we played 12-0. I figured one of you would say so I put that in there. Cause that is the only gripe you fans have. See you in 2016

BUT PITT Asst coaches did not rape young boys. Factor that in.

I just realized that the fact that Pitt beat UPS the last time the two played is the real reason you're on a Pitt board.

That's really gotta suck for you. I mean after all, Pitt is so bad, yet UPS couldn't beat them.

Every Psu fan and alum knows that Joe should of done more. So what are we failing to realize? We know that there is and always will be a dark cloud over the university. For what this sick bastard did and for what others NOT just Joe but the others as well. Including the president, the AD, and the head of campus police. The most important thing is that the victims finally have some closure. Though I don't think they will ever get over this. But at least their attacker is behind bars where he belongs.

Since you post here all the time you clearly have not read any of the PSU boards where the vast majority of PSU fans have completely absolved JP of any wrong doing in this incredible tradgedy.

What you dont get is that PSU for years shoved the Grand Experiment down every ones throat outside of college football, claiming to be the only school in the country who did things "the right way". joe even made disparaging remarks about Pitt coaches, specifically Jackie Sherril. The reason this story is getting so much play on this board is two fold. The hypocracy of the grand experiment has been exposed as a complete and utter pharse. When Saint Joe had the chance to prove PSU was different, he and the admin looked the other way to save the image of the grand experiment. After years of PSU fans telling everyone, especially PItt fans how they were superior ethically, its natural that Pitt fans especially would follow this case a bit more closely (note however this is a national issue and Pitt fans are not alone in their disdane for the cover up that occured at UPS).

Secondly, its clear that the UPS admin covered up for this monster in the name of saving the image of the grand experiment. Again thats why this is such a hot topic on this boad and around the nation. An institution of higher learning valued their reputation more than the lives of young children. There were rumors around college football circles for years about Sandusky yet PSU gave him unfettered access to the program to enable him to continue his criminal acts.

Seriously you simply dont get it. You have your head in the sand and are simply trying to deflect your embarassment by blaming Pitt fans for being obsessed. Not much different than the rest of your ild on BWI and FOS who are crying about the media bias and conspiracy to bring down UPS. If it were not so apallingly disgusting it would be amusing.

Wake up cultist! Stop worshiping your false god!

Saying a prayer FOR somebody is very different than praying TO somebody.

Also, I find it interesting nobody said anything about these rumors before the allegations arose the past few years. I would think if I heard a rumor about somebody molesting kids I would ask some questions.

    True.

However: graven images, false idols, clouded judgement due to deification of a fallible, mortal human.

    Mark 10:18. Luke 18:18. Romans 3:10.

Step back and self-evaluate. Use common sense.

And I think some did ask questions. Not enough were willing to take action on them.

  • No, this is just as bad as psu's football commit saying "its like it never happened". Tell those men who were raped when poor, vulnerable, and possibly homeless while being 10 years old that it never happened. Not all psu fans are part of the cult, but it exists and it disgusts me. You cant overact to this. This website is an insult to those boys and their families.

  • Finally back in the US...all the news coverage was about Sandusky so I didn't miss much.

I did get this on an email from Pittsburgh Sports Report, which is well worth a read...

  • Probably the best article on this I have read. It has been my biggest question and concern since this broke in November. Why would they not act? All of this could have been avoided. Penn State could still have been Happy Valley. JoePa could have still have an untarnished image. And Sandusky's later victims would have been spared.

Nd by the rest of the world you mean a 5 min news blurb on the local news? Everyone knows this is a national story genius. Nobody outside of the US gives a f*** about this. An I sure don't care what they think in San Francisco of all places.

JokePa certainly knew....that he got caught....and that is all that matters. The guilt killed him after 2 months. Not even enough time for PSU to make up a fake ailment and appoint a successor. The dude thought he would coach in 2012. His guilt drenched heart killed him...not because of the kids but because he knew his legacy was tarnished forever.

This is only starting. I bet dozens more come forward and You are....Pedd State will pay hundreds of millions in civil suits. Keep making those donations because Sue and JayPa won't spare a dime.

But have fun kneeling in front to JokePa's statue. Your kids will be proud (or disown you)

  • How the ####?is it that Spanier got a job with DHS? What job is he actually doing? Am I missing something? How does a guy, who got arrested last year, get a job with the Fed?

  • How about this project?

We realize that a lot of bad happened and believe me when I tell you that we as PSU alums think about the victims and the horrible crimes more than you can imagine. It hurts. It really does. We are a family nonetheless and families come together to move past tragedy. You guys might not get that and that it is ok. Joe Paterno was no saint. He was human. Like any human he made mistakes and likely had regrets. He also changed the lives of thousands of people for the better. We can argue all day whether one should outweigh the other but that isnt what the discussion should be about at all. The discussion should not focus on JoePa but it should be about how predators in our culture can take advantage of a society that far too often looks the other way. This is not a problem that exists only rural PA but all over the world. If a film about this tragedy can teach the world how better to avoid and handle situations like this than at least some good could come from the pain.

  • Pffffft. Not buying it. SERIOUSLY. NO JAGGING AROUND HERE. I DON'T THINK psu FAN'S HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT THE REST OF THIS WORLD IS THINKING RIGHT NOW.

Step off. You're all too close to the tree's. I mean this in a very sincere way. I get it. It's just wrong.
