Go after Stephen Jackson. The guy still has a year or 2 left in the tank and would come here and take less to get a ring. There were rumors at the trade deadline that we were looking into trading for him. I remember the draft that year that I heard the Steelers were trying to trade back into rd 1 to get Jackson. wow, if they coulda got Jackson and Ben in the same year. Dwyer as a backup with Batch as your 3rd down back.
As much as I like Stepfan Taylor (stanford) and Eddie Lacy (bama), I would rather pass on them, fill CB/S/LB holes and pick one of the RB's from LSU late (Michael Ford or Spencer Ware)
Why get rid of Redman when he's dirt cheap and plays extremely well for a 2nd/3rd stringer? Just improve the top end talent and keep the depth where it's at.
If the Smith kid leaves early out of Syracuse, I'd love to see us grab him in the 3rd.
