The fact that Hugh Green didn't get it as a dominant defender is a main reason I don't want him to win this. However, his background "inspirational" story might put him over the top.
However, he was INVISIBLE against Pitt this season. Remember the one bad game that Fitz had vs. Miami which knocked him out of the running for the Heisman? Same should apply to T'eo. I'm sure they're using this against Klein and his one bad game.

while I don't think Teo should win the Heisman, you guys need to stop with the tackle/tackle for loss rankings. ND has the 6th rated defense in the country which means their defense was excellent with getting the other teams offenses off the field. Less time on the field will mean less tackles and tackles for loss for a guy like Teo. I bet many of the LBs that are higher on the tackles list probably played 100-200 more defensive snaps than Teo did this season. Plus, Teo plays on a team that has multiple good players on their defense. I've seen LBs get an insane amount of tackles because they are about the only decent player on their teams defense(like the BC LB last year).

Sorry. Teo is not a dominant player. He did nothing against Pitt. Just about every Heisman candidate is judged on stats. What has Teo done that makes him the best linebacker in the country let alone the best player? He plays on ND, gets tons of exposure and hype, and has a sad story to tell. Other than that, hes not deserving of the hype

Ill add that the kid plays MLB in a system where the MLB is designed to make plays. He should at least be in the top 20 in tackle stats and in the top 10 in his position to be considered the best at hs position let alone the best defender
Im not saying hes not a very good player but awards are given to the player who dominates his position and he was far from dominant.
By the way his stat #s were a complete fluke. Most of the time he was a spectator on the play and or trailign the receiver and had the ball bounce in his hands. Before this year he had all of ZERO pics.............FLUKE

What did you expect Green to say? Hes not going to say the kid is not deserving and having been screwed out of a Heisman himself, he'd have made similar comments about any defensive guy up for the award.
Teo wont be the first lb drafted and he may not even be a first round pick..Once again if he were not on TV every week and didnt play for ND people would be saying TEo who.
But then again TIno was supposed to be all BE and make a NFL roster/ LOL
