He better enjoy it while he can.

  • I'm referring to all the love coach Chryst has been getting.

The first time he loses next year. Some of the people sending him some love will be destroying him via their comments.

It won't matter that he's a "good" guy. A "stand up" guy. A "loyal" person. Winning is what will matter and all the other stuff will become secondary.

    Therein lies the key.

  • I think it depends on who he loses to. YSU or UCONN - that does blow - and he deserved criticism for that.

In ACC terms, losing to Duke will tick off the fanbase. Dropping a 3 point nail-biter to Clemson or say NC State - I dont think so.

Did you listen to the second half interview at the BBall game? He was asked about the rousing ovation he received, and wondered aloud how long that would last.

I don't think Pitt fans will surprise him when they turn into, well, Pitt fans.

  • Coach C. is a big boy.

And if he goes 8 and 4 next season, it will look like good progress. So that's four losses he can have and still have a positive year...

    Go Pitt.

Not from me. I don't take losses as bad as the rest of the board does.....it's just amature athletics

I missed the interview. But it sounds like he's prepared.

  • I think we do a lot better next year. We have tons of starters coming back and people that were injured. Guys that red shirted I think will get a lot of playing time also. Even though we are going to the ACC it will be a huge advantage to have the same offense and defensive scheme. He will be ready for next season.

  • My god why does everyone want to see this guy fail? This is his 1st head coaching job and their will be some mishaps. However he has won over the WPIAL coaches that Graham has lost. Put a system in place to make Sunseri serviceable and say what you want about his coaching but if that ridiculous PI call doesn't happen against Notre Dame then Pittsburgh beats the team playing for a national championship!!! Pitt is heading in the right direction.

I don't know anyone that "wants" him to fail. Just saying how fans react when things don't go well.

  • I just think a college coach should get 4 years before we get to critical. That's the kind of time it's going to take before we know how good or bad Coach Chryst is.

  • I sure as hell hope he doesn't fail. I want any coach who wants to run a power pro offense to succeed. The high flying spread offense isn't entertaining to me and I would hate to see it here at Pitt.
