Pittsburgh hosted several prospects on Friday afternoon for its 'VIP day.' Perhaps no visitor was more important than Belle Vernon (Pa.) five-star OT Dorian Johnson.

With this staff...I wouldn't count us out for Johnson. Their efforts may still pay off here!!

granted i don't have a phd in PSU logic, but please explain this to me.
He goes to PSU and says PSU and Pitt are neck and neck about a month ago.
He comes to Pitt and talks to 4 verbal commits and Foster who is pretty much in the bag.
He says that Pitt is in front of PSU now and a decision will be made in early June.
States that PSU wants him to come back, but didn't say he would.
OSU and WVU are his next two trips, which would put us into June by the time these visits are taken...
Sorry, but right now, i'm more concerned with OSU as both are ~3 hour drives from Belle Vernon and OSU has a lot more to offer.
And on top of that, i'm not very concerned at all, as I've felt he was Pitt's from day 1.

O'Brien is doing all the right things so far at PSU and his recruiting has started out strongly. Hard not to worry about them getting top shelf PA kids as they always do.
Right now O'Brien is beating out schools like Alabama, FLA, ND, etc... for recruits.
I like our chances with Johnson though.

This what? I'm confused by the Nitwit's comments...is he being sarcastic (and wishful thinking on his part) i.e. does he finally realize that it's not going to happen for PSU re: Johnson? Or is he being delusional?

I agree. it seems as though Johnson and foster are Pitts to lose and Tyler Boyd is a Pitt-wvu battle right now. his relationship with Bobby engram is really strong so hopefully Bobby can pull that off.
