Pappy is a passionate guy. He loves and hates with true intensity. Don't you prefer that to these shmucks who show no emotion.
There are guys out there who maintain the same facial expression whether they're ejaculating or hearing the news that their house burned down. Fortunately, none of them live in the Burgh or are Pitt fans.
^^Guilty as charged. You are with me or against me. No worries Kay. You are in my ring of honor for sure. As many on here are.
I do use the word LOVE a lot. It's not a word meant only for sensual purposes. It's also not just a word. It's a feeling. Believe it.
Love is a palpable form of energy. I didn't discover that in Brooklyn. I realized it on an acid trip 45 years ago, sitting on the forest floor with a young woman I had real feelings for.
"In the white room with black curtains......"
A little known fact. Steel knows more about music, which is objective, as opposed to football, which is subjective. (Actually Steel knows the X's and O's). Preferences excluded.
Owt knows music as well. Anyone else? (not to hi-jack a thread) If you have a love for music start a thread.
lol, kayser, tell the missus I will kick in the first 50. bucks.
Prez, Gibby, 008, owt, Papp, and last but not least you gents make me damn proud to be a Pitt fan outstanding responses to the slaps from happy valley
I should also give a shout out to the Texas nit. The man is a exception to the nitwit fan base. Tex is a nice addition to this forum
A "Real PITT MAN"............get off my porch!
On this board I've got taste on the other I need to like radiohead, muse, or some other garbage.... ugh!
What other board? This man on man sex thing, I don't know what you're talking about. (in uncle Leo's voice) JERRY HELLO!
Hey pappy, I've been good. I've gotten slapped around a bit in terms of workload with my classes this semester, but I'm making my grades finally.
Campus life has been interesting, to say the least. At first I was bummed, because I knew Joe did a lot of good things for the school and it's students (my roommate last year was on scholarship from the Paterno Scholars or whatever it was called, and he wouldn't have been able to afford PSU otherwise). However after some talks with family I realized it served as a great lesson for me, that no human should be put on such a pedestal or given as much power and pressure as Joe had. That kind of power only breeds tyranny or an abuse of that power. Plus, I was able to witness the changing of the guard at PSU, something not many people will be able to say.
I still keep in touch with my best friends from high school, and they all go to Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Texas, etc. They all seem to tell the same stories about the same parties and they go to the same places we heard our older brothers tell stories about when we were growing up. It's nice to be experiencing something different, and I knew if I didn't go to PSU I would always wonder what if. It was probably the best decision I've ever made in my life.
After school I'm hoping to get into law school somewhere, or possibly work for a year or two to make my resume a little prettier and then apply. Hopefully I can find a job in Texas or Atlanta, but if not I'm OK with staying in PA. The long term plan is go back to Texas, but life has a funny way of guiding you down different paths than you would think, so who knows?
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
They may be negotiable, but I highly doubt PSU would ever back down on the price tag.
And yes, a violation of a contract is enforceable. If he leaves, we will be getting the buyout price in full, whether BOB or whichever organization he goes to likes it or not.
It's no wonder Texas that you have such a steady head about you. One's life starts and ends at home and the people who touch your life and guides you in the early years.
Count yourself lucky for the family that you have. I'm sure they do as well. Also, count yourself as smart for the venture you have taken into central Pa. What a wake up call I'm sure. They say variety is the spice of life.
Well good luck to you my young friend. You're a slam dunk to succeed in life. I would like to keep in touch down the road. I'll get in touch with you soon.
Based on your posts here I'm sure your family is very proud of you. You seem to have a really good head on your shoulders and that will take you a long way
Have to ask. You're views seem to be diametrically oppose to the cult following at Psu. Do you get a lot of grief from your fellow class mates?
I've been blessed with a great family, despite the flying pans and flaring tempers around the holidays.
Appreciate the kind words, hopefully you're right.
I appreciate the kind words, hopefully you and pappy are right.
Not at all. My friends (or most of them) are sensible people, they are just very passionate about Penn State. There are idiots in every fanbase, and in one as large as PSU's there are bound to be quite a few, but I try to ignore the fools and stay focused on those that are respectful in their fanship. IMO the majority of PSU students/alumni I know are respectful, nice people. That could just be because I ignore the stupid or rude people though.
