First off, thanks to the few Pitt posters that dont believe he was paid by Bama and actually have common sense about this situation. Also you guys must not have any connections to this recruit. I keep reading post after post about he was all Pitt a few days ago and than something changed. That is such BS. His uncle has been telling everyone around him that he is has been Bama for a long time because he wants to play for National and conference Championships. He loves Pitt and Pitt is close to his family and friends but Pitt doesnt have half the shot as Bama does at putting him in the NFL and being a high draft pick like Julio Jones (#6 overall). Also he wants to play on something Pitt fans know ZERO about, THE NATIONAL STAGE! Thats right we are on the big networks almost every week. At Bama he can play against the best teams like LSU, Georgia, Florida, and Texas A&M every week on a national broadcast, elevating NFL scouts awareness of him for the draft. He can learn to be an all around WR like Julio Jones and Amari Cooper with run blocking and big play catch capability, once again to earn him a big paycheck in the NFL. This is what he is talking about getting that money. We have a top notch coaching staff that will totally prepare him for the NFL. He has not been all Pitt until the other day. I am not sure how posters on a message board know what texts he sends but I do know of people that live there and know his family. He has wanted Bama for NFL paycheck, the national stage, and rings since he got the Bama offer. I know it has to suck, he is a heck of a player, but Bama is on a run like no other in college football history and who can blame him to want to be apart of that.
Please dont send the grammar police after me, I am not working on a paper for school, this is a message board.
Hey bro, it's ridiculous you are on another teams message board at 11:30 on a Saturday night. All because we were competing for a high school recruit.
This is all i bothered reading. Translation: "you're worried what we think of you." Here's what we think ..
Its 10:30 where I live. So what you are saying Is it is ridiculous I am on the internet at this hour? Who cares if it is on a bama board or anothers teams board? I am surfing the net. Will surf where I want.
Well you are 100% wrong. He sent out a text Wednesday saying he was going to Pitt. He said Thursday he was going. He changed his mind. So yes he flipped out of nowhere. If you look at it overall yes it makes sense. But if you start looking at the specifics such as his sudden flip his emotions at the presser etc then you can see why people are skeptical.
How does anyone know he sent this text?!?!? Did he send it to you?
And since it is being spoken to, Fosters mother took her phone out and read the text message to Chris peak (rivals editor for Pitt) word for word. So yes, it is known what he said.
Okay yeah that is real believable. I am sure that happened. I am sure she would tell a writer her sons decision before his big day where he commits and not allow him to do it himself. I doubt this Pitt writer had a agenda of his own. I am sure that the site he writes for would get the same number of hits to his article if he wrote he was going to commit to Bama instead of Pitt.

I agree with the above post, as I read the text message as well that Peak posted on Panther-lair Premium. It was an interview done post-press conference.
He was dead set on going to Pitt...then Friday morning he magically flipped to Alabama.
Hope whatever facts you're using in that paper of yours is better than what you used as the foundation of this post.
It was AFTERWARDS.
So what you're suggesting is that a writer, that needs to be on the good side of recruits, would blatantly fabricate that? He wrote what it said word for word. I would think someone would not ruin their entire reputation for that.
I'm not debating which program is better. That's a no brainer. But the basis of what you're saying is wrong.

All I know is that multiple posters on our side have stated that after talking to his uncle he was all Bama even though Pitt is where his heart lies. He committed to Bama for his NFL future, is that so hard to believe instead of he got paid to come Bama?
Bama's starting RB, Eddie Lacy...entered his press conference on NSD all set to sign with UT. All were shocked when he chose Bama, including Bama fans and Mods.
An OL out of Cullman, AL had a press conference with Bama banners and family members decked out in Bama gear...he was expected to choose Bama. Ended up choosing the barn that day.
Recruiting is crazy and it's never over until ink meets paper.
Iam not saying you are debating which program is better. I am sorry that you believe writers do not fabricate things to boost appeal to their stories because I believe it. They can always come back and say their information was wrong. That is their job to appeal to their fanbase, and I know for a fact it is not as appealing to write that his mother said he was all Bama. He is stirring the pot. Is there a video of this so called text his mom read to the writer? That would be the only thing to make me believe that.

I'm beginning to enjoy the irony here.
Whoa lady you are talented.
If you had to put odds on finding people with actually connections, which do you think is more likely....
A Pittsburgh based one or an Alabama based one
That's the equivalent of us claiming inside info on a kid from Alabama. Yes it is possible but the chances of Pittsburgh people (and multiple ones at that) knowing inside info is much greater.
But it still remains that his mom read that text message to peak. End of story b
He wrote and entire article and posted the quote word for word. This isn't a "sources tell me". This was a word for word recount. I could see what you're saying if he just cited sources. But he did it word for word and discussed the timing and circumstances surrounding it. So no. It was not made up.
Okay, maybe a few days before the PC he changed his mind and did want to stay close to home and play for Pitt. So he sent that text to his mom. But after that he started using his head again and made the best decision for his future and decided on Bama. Is getting paid by Bama the only and best explanation why he changed his mind?
You should be grateful that our kicker stinks or you'd be facing Florida in the title game instead of a layup vs. a weak ND team.
Yeah Bama does not know people anywhere outside of Bama. We actually heard this from a PITT source, you just assume it was from a Bama connection because that would fit your argument.
Why are you so offended by this stuff? Most of us wish Pitt would use the same recruiting tactics. Of course i'd prefer a more discreet approach and staying closer to home.
Anyway .. let's just agree to dislike each other and call it a day. This thread is accomplishing nothing. Go back to your circle jerk.
Okay, you leave this thread. Problem solved. You are the one that cares so much. Just calling people out for dumb accusations against a 18 year old high school football player
