This is actually worse than debating with WV fans. It's reached a new level of stupid.
I can see why WVU wants in the SEC now.

Seriously? I know this is a Pitt board but comparing Pitt to Bama? You win the Hall of Fame argument. I can name about 100 or so other stats that Pitt can't come close to when compared to Bama. What about it? I'm game if you are.
Really? That is funny. Tuscaloosa? What, they have a strip mall, a college and a football stadium. If they asked people where they would rather live and work, 98% of the people would choose Pittsburgh. The other 2% is calling the Paul Finebaum show.
It is irrelevant how I define success because there is no type of success that he can have at Pitt, that he couldn't exponentially have at Bama. You want me to leave because you lack the intelligence to have a civilized argument. You resort to name calling, and simply stating that I am wrong and for me to leave. (like a child)
Go for it. List all the factors that a recruit should truly care about .. stuff that will benefit him directly.
Still can't define success huh?
The Paul Finebaum plays to the lowest common denominator in society
What the hell does the past got to do with the present? Look at the coaching staffs. What they have accomplished. Who they have developed and gotten to the league. Each University on its own merit doesn't put squat into the NFL. So, I would say squash all the garbage compare current coaching staffs. This in itself may not even sway Foster. he may want to be "build" a dynasty. Who knows? We all will come Friday. I use to live in PA. Freaking beautiful state and had a hell of a time while there. If Foster picks Pitt over Bama it will be because of proximity to home, family, friends and such. Period. There is no arguing the current coaching staff at Bama has put more players in the NFL than the one at Pitt. It is not logical to say "Hey, Bama put Bart Starr in the league". Get the hell out of here. Who cares? What has the current coaching staff done. Saban has proved he is winner at every college he coached and developed his players to be high draft picks. What has Pitts current coach done? Not being sarcastic. I really don't know and don't care to look it up. Pretty damn simple to me.
Stadium and Facilities.
Football gameday environment.
I can go on and on. I know you'll try but you can't argue anything I've just listed.
Facilities, Alabama's Coaching Staff and player develop personell, the SEC, National Exposure, Championships. Alabama's program is as close physically and mentally to an NFL team as you'll get, we have a proven track record of success and no one can try to diminish it.
Guarantee if he where to choose Pitt he wouldn't sniff anything close to a Crystal ball.
Sure Pitt had Fitz and Lesean but the staff you have now didn't develop them.
The only thing Pitt has over UA is proximity to his home, if UA was located lets say somewhere in Maryland or Ohio, Robert would be already committed to Bama.

University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
A recruit should care about many things 1. Ability to be developed 2. Exposure 3. Education 4. Accountability 5. Structure to succeed etc. Alabama is greater than Pitt across the board here besides maybe academics. It's a bit absurd to try and compare the abilities of Alabama and Pitt to make a player more ready for the NFL.
Success relative to this discussion would be, developing into the best WR you can possibly be. Winning National Titles, graduating college, and being a high draft pick in the NFL. Now, to do that.....look at the track record of the current coaching staffs of both schools. I do not know yours and will not pretend to but Alabama has one of the best if not the best in college football right now!

Well in fairness he just completed his first season.....Saban is in his sixth year.....
Success on the field, reaching his full potential, making sure he graduates, being coached by the best coaches in CF, playing with other extremely talented people (not being a big fish in a small pond, as he would be at Pitt). All of these things could be better attained by him choosing Bama. I will challenge you to find me one aspect of Pitt's football program that is better than Alabama's.
You just settled the argument.....Game over
Oh and that 6th year at Bama... Last count he did pretty damn well at LSU.
Proximity, academics, playing time, or scheme come to mind. I don't know how salient these are for Foster, but it's not like location is the ONLY possible explanation.

Well its not going to be because Pitts coaching staff puts them in the NFL and wins National Titles. From what I understand, he is borderline on qualifying. Soooo, take academics out......Next
I'm not going to insult the kid. I really don't know how relevant any of these factors are to him. I'm just saying that the argument many of the Alabama fans are advancing in this thread is a flawed one.
It's not 80000 degrees in Pittsburgh. That's a big plus.
You didn't win anything....It is too small a sample size
See, I'm looking at 2012 receiver statistics and can't find anyone from Alabama on the first page here. Maybe that is a mistake or something.
Enjoy the BBVA Compass Bowl!
Foster can develop at Pitt, Pitt gets exposure, Pitt education blows away Bama....The last two? WTF?
Yeah, unfortunately, another chance to get familiar with Alabama and metro Birmingham.
