Word on the block is that now that KC has released him, he could be on his way home to the burgh.
Not a bad move, dude still has speed, can return kicks and be a cheap version of Wallace. Plus he has a good history with Haley.
I'd be down with that since I'm not feeling Sanders as a #2. Gotta get Brown on the punt returns too. It goes without saying that they'll draft someone too.
What's the deal with Plax?
Breaston will probably come very cheap. He's returned one kick in the past 3 years. I don't mind him as a depth guy. I just don't think he's a starter in this league. He's had 3 - 100 yard games in the past 4 years.
I'd rather look at Josh Cribbs.
I'd like to see them target Tyler Eifert in the 1st. WR sucks this year. They need help at TE w/ Heath's injury and his age. They say his knee is really screwed up.
I'd love to get Warmack if he's available in the 1st. Could you imagine DeCastro/Pouncey/Warmack inside?
I would love to have Breaston. I still remember vividly how quiet the Woody High fans got when he went down with an ankle history at Hershey. Sh*tty weather was the only thing that could stop that team. And it did.
I was at lunch today talking about this very thing. That interior line would be sick for 8-10 years. Not sure we'll have any chance of getting him, however. The Steelers desperately need RB and impact defensive players. But if Warmack is there or close by they have to go get him.
The weather didn't stop Neshaminy from pounding the rock when they were on offense. It didn't stop them from handling snaps. The weather slowed down Breaton but their OL and DL got beat and that's why they couldn't do anything on offense.
Don't want him. He turned Pitt down.
Yeah. Losing arguably one of the most electric wpial players in the last decade or two didnt have too much impact at all...it was all the lines....you lineman always think its all about you..smh
I know what your saying cliff, but I think that Neshaminy was the 1st team that could handle Woody's physicality. They had problems blocking and getting off blocks all night. Woody blew out everyone that year never faced adversity. Neshaminy on the other hand was in some tight games that year.
In a dry game played in September, Woody High probably wins but it probably would take miraculous play from Breaston on broken type plays.
I think Fields' Duquesne team has a great shot of beating Hyno's team in HS if that was warm and not with hurricane winds on the same premise of the Woody game.
One of the biggest myths in football is that mud hurts the team with more speed than it does the slower team. People often forget that the slow team is that much slower in the mud as well. What bad weather does is it usually exposes the OL/DL. The team with the better OL/DL typically wins 9 out of 10x.
I actually thought the 2009 Woody High that lost to State College was better than Breaston's teams. They had all those starters out against State College and only lost by like 3 points or something if I'm not mistaken.
