This jackwagon was challenge and folded like a cheap suit. Just another prime example of people spreading information and have no clue what they are talking about.
And the actual evidence to back this up is what?
did you read what Ralph Cindrich said about Saban? Oh, I forgot, reading and an Alabama education are mutually exlcusive.
Has Bama gone more than 5 years without a serious NCAA violation? You guys act as if its preposterous that Bama would pay a player.
Yep, we read it. Problem is we also heard him say it. Heard him in interviews repeat it, then be challenged. He then stated he would would provide the info on a certain date. Certain date came and went. He never proved crap. All he did was spew the same crap you are right now. He is not a credible person. We as bama fans followed this as you might as a Pitt fan would some one make those accusations about your school. He is a flop and you are sourcing him?
Wow! That's a mature statement. I guess you're right, I was able to get a Masters degree and pass the CPA exam but apparently can't read.
Apparantley, Pitt is the only school that requires reading comprehension skills.
Yea, actually we have. Saban doesn't cheat, and never has. I said it the other night, and I'll say it again; name me ONE instance where Saban had a serious violation against him in ANY coaching stop. You can't. As far as that scumbag saying everyone has something on him, why he couldn't name just one thing? Because none of it is true, that's why. I guess to you all if one person says something, it must be true, right? Lol. Well, how about this then...you guys are a bunch of whiny ass grown men that just had the best recruit in your region taken right out from under your noses. Damn, that must sting. And don't worry, we will show you all how to take care of Notre Dame, haha. Roll Tide!
Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear.
Pitt fans have owned the cheating in the 80s. We're not afraid to be honest. It's a southern tradition to be fake and lie and hide the dirty secrets.
I want Pitt to be a win-at-all-cost program. I just don't want us to be as blatant and dirty as the SEC. We have plenty of talent in our backyard. It's a slap in the face what happened on friday. But you can have him. We'll be fine. Whether we win or lose .. life goes on. It's just a game.
So lay out all the details of this dirty deal since you know so much about it.
If not, you sound like mr.cindrich with the bs allegations and no substance to back them up.
Following your logic, rushell shell was paid to go to Pitt. Sounds like Pitt is a bunch of cheating bastards. Don't blame foster for being repulsed by Pitt boosters trying to buy him. See how easy that was?
What logic are you following? Are you too simple-minded to understand that everybody is different? What makes Foster tick might not matter at all to Shell. Not everyone is willing to take the money. Not everyone is even offered the money. Do you think they are so hard up for every recruit? Obviously Foster is special. They wouldn't give ten cents for most of our roster.
Finally ..why don't you just stop worrying so much about this? It's over. Move on with your life. Do you want to make sure we're still upset? I've never seen such bizarre behavior on a message board. I hope we never have to battle another SEC school for a recruit again .. for the sake of sanity.

Umm Reuben Foster decommitted from Alabama and committed to AU..when asked why?
"My mom doesn't have the money to drive far to get to my games",,,then turns around and gets a tattoo? Trooper Taylor gets fired, and he decommitts. If we did pay kids...he would have never left Bama.
Robert has a better chance of getting to the NFL to "get paid" after Alabama, than at Pitt (argue this all you want but a QB will be a huge part of this...see Cooper Bateman, AJ McCarron), also from his PC he said he was doing it for "Valley"...in other words he wants to make a name for himself, and win a National Championship for his hometown.
If you really think Saban has to pay players to get them at Alabama.....LOL
Why do some of you have such a hard time grasping that an extremely talented player chose to play college football for what, over the past five years, has unquestionably been the best college football program in the country led by this generation of college football's most outstanding and successful coach over a respectable, above-average home state program? It can't be that hard to see that he made a wise choice. Look at an All-American team or an Awards Ceremony or the 1st Round of the NFL Draft and they are littered with Alabama players, not to mention the success that our team has had in winning two out of the last three BCS Championships with a chance at a third in January.
Simply put, when you factor in the national prominence of Alabama compared to Pittsburgh right now the guy made a logical choice. Going to Pittsburgh would have been a fine choice too, but it was his choice to make and he decided on Alabama. All of you should wish him the best of luck. I'm pulling for Rushel Shell and Dorian Johnson, guys that loved Alabama but decided to stay home at Pittsburgh. RF seems to be a humble kid and I think he deserves to be treated with respect. He loves Pittsburgh and didn't do anything to upstage anybody associated with the program at his announcement ceremony. Does he seem like the type to gamble his future on accepting illegal benefits? Does Alabama want to gamble it's future on one recruit at this point? It sucks to lose out on a talented guy but sometimes it happens, move on. It happened to us a lot before Saban and it has happened to us plenty with Saban.
And guys, you don't need to cheat when you're the best program in the country, and for better or worse right now we're the best program in the country by a large margin.
He is getting paid by coming to Bama instead of Pitt. Kids want that money. And three or four years isnt that long to wait to get that first round money. Im sorry Pitt doesnt put out 3 or 4 first rounders a year but at Bama we do. Kids see that. Just the way it is. You dont think he saw what Amari Cooper did this year as a freshman? RF is thinking three and done and then gettin paid. We have the best system at Bama. Elite kids have a great shot at big money. Money that our university never has to pay these kids. Its floating right in front of them but to get it they have to bust their ass. NFL coaches love our players because of Saban and our system. Value is added and their draft stock is higher simply because they played at Bama. So come get paid all you elite players from Pennsylvania.
"We're modern-day gladiators, and that mental toughness is really important to have in a good team." Nick Saban
If I have learned one thing from reading the Pitt boards during Foster's recruitment, it's that Pitt0008mmd is a miserable idiot. I sincerely hope life gets better for you soon.
Life could always get better .. like when this board goes back to interesting topics and witty banter.
I sincerely hope you will realize this is just a place to share opinions and not something you should worry about in real life.
That is the difference in Pitt and Alabama. Football is our life.
The bottom line is the fact the kid wants to play for a team that competes for NCs year in and year out instead of one that waddles in mediocrity. He could stay at home and be a big fish in a little pond or come to Bama and play on national TV each week competing against the top players in the BEST conference in America. As the post above mine says, kids want to be a part of this dynasty that Saban has built....thats it. Come in as a freshman and compete for positions and see the field...but if you don't get engaged in the "Process", then you'll be kicked to the curb.
Sorry that we took your best player, but I'll tell you what, when Pitt becomes consistently relevant again, then they might stay at home and play!!!!!!
By the way, playing in the BCS NC game with the NINTH youngest team in D1 football!!!!
Id buy that as I do think that has merit but the funny thing is I dont recall Foster ever saying publicly that his main reason was because he wanted to play for NC's.
Look theres not a pitt fan that doesnt acknowledge that Bama is THE ELITE program in the country which in and of itself gives Bama a huge edge over most programs in the country not just pitt. THe issue here is this. Foster has never made that a big deal publicly and he had told EVERYONE around him that he was going to Pitt, up to the morning of his announcement. When asked about his decision he talked about how tight he and Saban were (LOL) and the academics.....You dont think that looks awfully fishy. Others do. No amount of debating is going to change other sides mind.
Quite honestly had he said Bama all the way, no one would have blinked an eyelash. Had he told his mom Bama in the morning. again not an issue. HIs own MOTHER was shocked.
But what evs. My life doesnt revolved around where 18 year olds go to college nor is PItt football at the top of my priorities in life My self image has nothing to do with Pitt football as its well down the list of things that I value. This stuff is purely for entertainment, including wasting time on message boards talkng smack..........LOL
Merry Christmas Bama fans.... stomp the Irish.
A "Real PITT MAN"............get off my porch!
We like to pay players right as they walk through the door of their press conferences. On the surface it's pretty impractical, but it's just the way we like to do things down south.
That's just what u heard. We all heard after his visit in November he would commit to bama any day. He told our coaches he was coming to bama after the visit and got back home and decided to wait.
Saban has finished second on way more out of state kids than he's gotten. Two or three of them are on your team now. Paying an out of state player or his parents is a pretty sure way of getting busted.
Foster wanted to come to bama he just didn't want (and still doesn't) to leave his family. It'll all b worth it for him in four years though!!
We like to keep coming back because we take this evil joy in making fun of the mentally retarded, and you're such an easy target. Not all Pitt fans, mind you. Not even all of the ones on this board. Just you, Pitt0008mmd. You're rapidly becoming a laughing stock on other boards.
And don't worry...it will be a long, long time before you have to battle us for a recruit again. Most of the recruits that have to settle for Pitt couldn't play on our scout team. You might get some competition from our cellar dwellers, though. Hell, before long even Mark Stoops at Kentucky may be passing you.
Pitt fans - It is not out of the question that the kid really wanted to play for 'Bama, but didn't want to disappoint mama. The last minute change of heart could have been because he received mama's blessing. It is by far the best program in the country right now. Kids want to play there. Hell, if one of my kids had the same decision to make, I am sure it would be difficult. I love Pitt, but let's not sit here and pretend it is in the same stratosphere as 'Bama right now.
'Bama fans - it is not out of the question that 'Bama threw cash at the kid. You are in the freaking SEC. It is win at all costs. It's not like you have a squeaky-clean history. The last second change of heart can easily be perceived to be fishy. If you can't understand why, you are ignoring the past.
To totally dismiss either theory is extremely short-sighted.
See what I mean, Pitt0008mmd? Your stupidity is rapidly becoming the stuff of legends.
So let me get the squence of events right. Thursday night (or maybe Friday morning) he tells everyone Pitt. Then by Friday afternoon he tells the world Alabama. Yet, he hadnt spoken with or informed Saban yet.
So when exactly was the money offered? Cause it sounds like he didn't talk to anyone from Alabama from the time he texted Pitt to the time he picked Bama.
I seriously doubt we've paid a player since Saban has been here (not discussing the stuff we did prioir to Saban). Saban treats everyone equal, which why we've had 3 stars start while a 5 star sits on the bench for his whole career (heck, we have a walk-on that starts for us). The second you start paying some players and not others, you uneven the playing field. Saban's process doesn't work on an uneven playing field.
