I do not have a link, as I saw this on ABC27 News in Harrisburg this morning. Jameel Poteat has been give his released from his scholarship and will look to transfer to Pitt, Rutgers or Bowling Green. Since his cousin Hank is now back at Pitt as a GA, I would say Pitt is the logical choice.

What is the reason? It seemed that he played at Cinci.
Tuberville must have promised him dinner.
Now that's funny.
I would let my kids play for Bobby Knight, I have no problem with what Mike Montgomery did, I love Huggy, Hell if my son was a wr he could play for Holgy. But, no way in hell would I let him play for Tuberville.
Agree. He is on the left of Todd Graham in the scumbag rows.
The report did not give a reason, just that he had been released from his scholarship and what his choices were. he did follow-up with a mention regarding Hank Poteat coming back to Pitt as a GA, though.
This should be a complete no brainer. It may allow Shai McKenzie to head down south, but we need backs.
I think Tuberville skated and stuck him with the check
This was one of two kids I was talking about on signing day when I said two kids were looking to transfer and Pitt could be involved but they didn't have their releases yet
I have a buddy on the Harrisburg football scene who's real close to the Poteats. When I asked him about the possibility of a transfer for Jameel Bowling Green was the one school he said was a probable landing spot.
Maybe he's changed his mind a bit since then but I think that's where he'll wind up.
Have to imagine the coaching change had a lot to do with it. Plus last year Ralph Abernathy was getting the ball more than Poteat was. That being said, if Abernathy is the reason he wants out, I find it tough to believe he'd want to come to Pitt to be Shell's backup.
Poteat would sit out a year then in 2014 be a rsSO to Shell's JR. If Shell blows up and is off to the NFL after his JR year then Poteet has two years at PITT without Shell.
No, he'd be a redshirt Junior in 2014. One year left after Shell IF Shell leaves early. Has Poteat really shown anything that would lead us to say he's a good fit as the lead RB in 2015? I'm not sure that he's better than Crockett, for example, or certainly that he's better than some of the options in the next two recruiting cycles.
It wouldn't be terrible if he transferred to Pitt, but I doubt very much that he's the future at RB.
FWIW, it seems like Shai is heading down south no matter the result of this ... early yet.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.
