Sunday is senior day. The Panthers will recognize guard Tray Woodall and forward Dante Taylor at 11:45 a.m.
It is also Pitt's last Big East home game as they Panthers will enter the ACC following this season. Taylor may start the game Sunday afternoon.
The Panthers are coming off a convincing 20-point home win over South Florida on Wednesday. Pitt's two seniors, Woodall and Taylor, led the Panthers. Taylor finished with his first double-double of the year with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Woodall led the Panthers with 14 points (4-5 FG).
Pitt and Villanova meet for the second time this season. The Panthers claimed the first meeting this year, a 58-43 win at the Pavilion in mid-January.
Pitt has won the last five meetings and seven of the last ten, although the overall series is tied 32-32.
The Wildcats' expected starting lineup is: JayVaughan Pinkston (12.7 ppg.), Ryan Arcidiacono (11.8 ppg.), Darrun Hilliard (11.6 ppg.), Mouphtaou Yarou (9.3 ppg.) and James Bell (9.0 ppg.).
With two regular season games remaining, Pitt (10-6) is playing for seeding for the upcoming Big East Tournament and also the NCAA Tournament that immediately follows.
Pitt has won 10 Big East games for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons, the only Big East program to achieve that distinction.
