Chryst announces personnel changes

The University of Pittsburgh has released a statement this morning that Coach Paul Chryst has dismissed red shirt freshman defensive back Stephen Williams from Savannah, Ga. was dismissed from the team for disciplinary reasons. Williams has not appeared in a game this season.

Two red shirt freshmen outside linebacker Jason Frimpong from Irving, Texas and safety Roderick Ryles of Orlando , Fla. Have left the team and been given permission to transfer. Frimpong arrived at Pittsburgh as a safety and was moved to outside linebacker after Chryst arrived.

Ryles, was a hard hitting safety prospect out of Dr. Phillips High School and was ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. All three prospects were part of the Class of 2011 that was signed by former Pitt and current Arizona State head Coach Todd Graham.
