It's all over Owtie, society has changed a lot. People would rather home school or cyber school and keep their kids in a bubble. There aren't near the jobs around anymore, everyone moves out. People have a lot less kids now, well out here economics doesn't prevent the Amish from having more, except they don't play sports.
I can rant for hours about this. People are soft nowadays. Economics have forced most households to be mom and dad both have to work. There is no more dad makes a living and mom runs the house. The family unity is lacking.
I remember in school I had 1-2 friends whose parents were divorced. It was an oddity. Now, my kids are lucky if a handful or kids parents are still married.
Me and my wife have been together for 20 years (yeah, she's lucky)..lol...Married for 14 and people act like that is a big deal. I remember always celebrating 25 and 50 year anniversaries with family. Now if you make double digits its a rarity.
I seriously am afraid for my kids when they get to be my age, and god forbid how it be when their kids are around.

What sucks now is parents of this generation is us. Our generation. We were not brought up like this. Every HS kid in my neighborhood has their own car. Wtf?
It is almost not a total loss of jobs here. Allegheny Ludlum (ATI) is pretty strong, they are building a $1.5 Billion (yes that is with a B) here in town but many of the people who work there have now moved out to Knoch and Freeport out of Highlands and Allegheny County taxes.
